Our Altoona food pantry is moving! The current location will close permanently at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29. The food pantry will open at Caring Hands Center, 602 3rd St SW in Altoona, at noon on Tuesday, November 1.
The Altoona Food Pantry serves people living in the Southeast Polk School District or within the city limits of Bondurant and Pleasant Hill. The food pantry hours will remain the same.
Mondays and Wednesdays - 3:00 – 5:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 am
Our Eastview Food Pantry serves people living anywhere in Polk County.
Eastview (4101 E 42nd St, Des Moines) Hours:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
Fridays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
We will gratefully accept donations of food and personal care items at Caring Hands Center, 602 3rd St SW in Altoona, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am - 11:00 am on Saturdays.
