Altoona & Eastview Locations
Clients are eligible to be served at the Food Pantries once per month. The Altoona Food Pantry serves clients living in the Southeast Polk School District or within the city limits of Bondurant and Pleasant Hill. The Eastview Food Pantry serves clients living anywhere in Polk County. Clients are asked to bring a valid ID and piece of mail for confirmation of residency.
Altoona Pantry (201 Ninth St NE, Altoona) Hours:
Mondays and Wednesdays 3-5 p.m. Saturday 9-11 a.m.
Our Daily Bread (201 9th St NE, Altoona):
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Eastview (4101 E 42nd St, Des Moines) Hours:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m.
Fridays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Our Daily Bread
As a supplement to our regular food pantry, Our Daily Bread offers clients the opportunity to receive extra produce, canned goods, and bakery products once a week. The variety and quantity of food varies, depending on availability. Our Daily Bread is open: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Secondhand Treasures is a thrift store located at 602 3rd St SW, Altoona, Iowa. You'll find affordable clothing for the entire family, furniture, home decor, vintage items, kitchen items, collectibles, and home goods.

Adventure Life Church - Altoona
Simple Supper is a community wide invitation to fellowship around a delicious meal. EVERYONE is welcome! Our next supper is Monday, August 29, 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Adventure Life Church: 1700 8th St SW, Altoona. Our friends from Lutheran Church of the Cross will be serving pulled pork on bun, baked beans, coleslaw, watermelon, and cookies. There will be both dine-in and carry-out options.
