Ned Looney has been the Executive Director of Caring Hands since July 1, 2016. He is well known in the Southeast Polk community from his decades of service as a Doctor of Naturopathy and pharmacist. An active member of his local church, Ned has a vibrant faith and a desire to utilize his extensive experience in business and non-profit leadership to guide Caring Hands toward continued growth in its ministry of compassion in our community.
Director of Resource Development
David L. Burrier joined the Caring Hands Team on March 8, 2021. He is well known as a seasoned resource developer and community relations professional throughout Iowa.
David is also a sought after motivational speaker, teacher, retreat leader, and supply preacher for Christian Churches. David enjoys writing songs, producing and preserving testimony videos, and is a published author of children's books and poetry.
Suzie Bauman lives in Pleasant Hill with her husband. She joined Caring Hands in February 2021. She also works part time as the Children's Ministry Director at Southeast Polk Family Church in Pleasant Hill.
After serving in ministry for the past 27 years in Michigan, Iowa and Nebraska, her husband's job brought them back home to the Des Moines area.
Suzie and her husband, Paul, have recently become empty nesters and are looking forward to the future and what that will bring with spouses and grandchildren.
As a former professional photographer, she still loves to take photos whenever possible and enjoys her other hobbies revolving around music and decorating.
