Secondhand Treasures
Secondhand Treasures is a thrift store located at Caring Hands Center in Altoona, Iowa. At our thrift store, you'll find clothing for the entire family, furniture, home decor, vintage items, kitchen items, collectibles, and home goods.
When you support Secondhand Treasures, you are helping your neighbors right here in eastern Polk County. All of the money raised through sales support the work of Caring Hands to help our neighbors with more than food. Our thrift store also provides job training for differently-abled community members.

We're having monthly garage sales this summer! June 10, July 15, August 5, and September 9 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. You'll find clothes, household items, furniture, and more at garage sale prices. Follow the signs to the northeast side of our building.
We'll also be extending our donation hours on these days from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Store Hours
Monday - Friday: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Donation Hours
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
We depend upon the generous donations of our supporters to provide us with items to sell in our thrift store. We will gratefully accept your donations of:

linens, rugs, quilts, and comforters

furniture in good repair (no rips or stains, from non-smoking homes only)
