When did you begin volunteering at Caring Hands?

March of 2023

What inspired you to serve at Caring Hands?

My daughter, Miriam Cody (Director of Operations at Caring Hands), suggested It when I mentioned that I would like to do some volunteer work.

What do you typically do when you volunteer?

I work in the pantry one day a week for a few hours. As my granddaughter, who I babysit full time, matures and joins preschool, I hope to volunteer more time.

Tell us about a time you were blessed by your work as a volunteer at Caring Hands.

I spent time with my granddaughter in the Caring Hands garden planting seedlings. Teaching young children about nature is always a blessing.

What do you wish people knew about Caring Hands?

Caring Hands is a tremendous community resource that provides access to food, clothing, and assistance with housing for those in need.

Tell us one thing most people don't know about you.

I was blessed with living in the mountains of Washington and Oregon for most of my adult life. Horses were a big part of my life (showing them, working cattle, riding/camping in wilderness areas).
