Berean Assembly of God in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, set out with a goal to collect 1,000 cans of soup on the four Sundays during July for our Caring Hands Food Pantry.
Their members more than doubled their goal by donating 2061 cans of soup! Thank you, Berean, for your generous donation response!
Our Director of Resource Development, David Burrier, had the privilege of engaging with a young man who brought a personal donation of enough soup cans to nearly fill a plastic tub. A few years ago, he was experiencing hard times and needed assistance, and Caring Hands Food Pantry helped him with food. He said he wanted to return the favor.
